Looking back, I realized that I simply reframed the situation and turned what most people hated (running uphill) into a competitive advantage. By learning to love running uphill, I did what few people were willing to do…and it paid off. My senior year in cross country, I was the undefeated state champion, as was my team.

So look at your business and personal life. What challenges are you facing and how can you reframe them in a way that will generate a positive outcome for you and the people around you?

Doing what few people are willing to do and reframing a tough situation into a positive, are two skills that will pay dividends over your lifetime.
